Sterling Lovelady

Sterling Lovelady is a partner at NLG, where he practices exclusively in marital and family law. His work includes dissolution of marriage (divorce), child custody, prenuptial agreements, and other related matters throughout the Tampa Bay area. He is a settlement-minded attorney who is also a skilled advocate in the courtroom, handling everything from pre-suit negotiations to complex, multi-day trials.

Sterling represents a wide range of clients—from doctors, lawyers, and professional athletes to military members, construction workers, and everyday individuals. While based in Tampa and primarily focused on Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Manatee counties, he also accepts select cases in other parts of Florida, including Orange and Lee counties.

Before becoming an attorney, Sterling was a scholarship student-athlete at Florida State University, where he was a member of the football team that won the BCS National Championship in 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from FSU and later his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. Upon graduation in 2017, he received the prestigious Victor O. Wehle Award, given to the top trial advocates in each class.

Outside the office, Sterling is a proud adoptive father of two, an active sports enthusiast, a boating aficionado, and deeply involved in his church community.
